It was a phenomenal trip—our guides were skilled river navigators and kayak instructors, made camp for us every night, and cooked phenomenal (and I am very a discerning eater) meals at every opportunity. It was a lovely respite from everyday life, beautiful, rejuvenating. Our guides, Jane, Tyler, and Anthony, were professional and calm (and funny and interesting). I would recommend Momentum to anyone. We were lucky to have chosen them for this good family trip (mom + 2 sons, 28 + 26). It might just have been a perfect trip."

So much fun. We had a choice of a paddle boat or inflatable kayak and you could change your choice at any time. You were married to your choice. The guides were very accommodating and positive in their instruction. They were well informed about the river, the wildlife, and the history of the area which made even the quiet moments exceptional. This was one of the best trips I have ever taken and am definitely going on another."

  • "Our family has been on several multi-day rafting trips and we were looking for a new adventure. Momentum River Expedition's trip on the Rogue River was recommended by a friend. My husband and I and our sons (in their 20's) enjoyed this opportunity to "choose our own adventure" by paddling individual inflatable kayaks. It was so much fun to learn more about the river and the way the water would move us and then try our hands at paddling our own little boat down the rapids. Each of us came out of our kayak a couple of times in rapids but we were well trained by our guides to self-rescue so we weren't worried about it. Each of the 3 days after an exciting day of paddling we were greeted at camp by one of the guides who had set up our tents, prepped some snacks and had our beverages on ice so all was ready for us to relax around camp. Delicious dinners and breakfasts were served in camp and our lunch picnics on the river were amazing. The guides are very competent on the river and also love telling stories about the history of the area and the surrounding geology."

The meals were delectable, the lodges (especially Paradise) were beyond expectations, happy hour beverages/h'ors douevres were greatly appreciated and of course the camaraderie and care provided by our awesome guides made the whole experience. They even surprised my daughter for her 13th birthday on the river with cupcakes/candles without my even asking (think they overheard some of the gals talking about her bday and took it upon themselves).   • "I went on this four-day river trip for my birthday with family and friends. We very much enjoyed Momentum's guide's leadership and boating experience (25 yrs each!) and I don't know what I will do for an encore next year.....but trips such as this are hard to beat! The wild life (bears, bald eagles, deer, fish, ducks) and historical landmark visits made the trip more interesting. The food was awesome, and the campsites (they did all the work) were unsurpassed. Staying at the Galice resort the eve before the put-in made morning start easy. Two hour drive back to Galice smooth. A very fun trip for seniors, young adults and teenagers. Saw others on the river who brought young children....so a adventure for all ages. "

  • "This was our second trip with Momentum on the Rogue with the team of Eric, Arden, and Alan. If you are trying to get a group of busy people together, this is the perfect quick trip: 3 days and 2 nights on the river with comfortable cabin on night 1 and then the spectacular Paradise lodge. Excellent food and libation, but it never hurts to bring some extra booze. I suggest you stay the night before and the night after at the Galice Resort to start mellowing out! Inflatable kayaks enhance the experience and guarantee that you will eventually take a little swim! But Eric and Arden will keep you safe, so no need to be timid! Forward 2!!"

  • "What a fantastic trip. The whole trip was a perfect escape from reality, with a top-notch team to help me unplug. Alan, Orea and Anthony were the amazing team that led us down the 3 day/2 night lodge trip down the Rogue. They were kind, friendly, approachable, and extremely knowledgeable about the river and history of the area. We stayed at two lodges along the way, both were rustic and in line with what we expected. You can't beat having a hot shower after a long day on the river. The meals that Momentum cooked and prepared were also fantastic. I never left hungry and all the cooking was with fresh, simple ingredients. I highly recommend going on a trip with Momentum (my family has done several, but this was my first), they are a first class operation that is focused on you having a memorable, enjoyable experience."

I Loved being the captain of my own inflatable kayak. Then on to the thrills of the Upper Klamath. The rapids were long and spanky and our guide Anthony was an expert at finding the perfect lines.   • "I went on a private trip with 6 friends. We made it clear we wanted a special and unique trip, and at every stage through the adventure we were pleasantly surprised. To start, the Rogue River is a spectacular location to raft down, but Momentum offered us unexpected access to knowledge as we traveled down the river, access to insane fun as we hung around the well setup camp, and luxury as we slept. To enhance our experience, they introduced us to a survivalist, who we brought with us down the river. He did a wonderful job of giving us a much deeper understanding of the very special and complex ecosystem we were traveling down. I've done two guided fishing trips and one raft trip with a friend down the Rogue and this was the most enjoyable. Tyler was very accommodating. We stayed in lodges which was fantastic. perfect mixture of adventure and comfort."
