River Expeditions is run by guides whose goal it is to "re-invent"
the way rafting trips are run. To set the standard for guest
service, trip quality, risk management, and the overall river

You will enjoy these amazing places in
small groups. Our trips often consist of only two boats
(7-12 people total). This means more
personal service, attention to detail, and a greater experience.
We only book large trips for single large groups.
We are a small guide-owned and operated
company. This means that the
owner guides many of our river trips to ensure
that all trips offer the kind of experience that made us fall
in love with river running.
Safety is always our first concern, and this starts with
our guides. We draw from a pool of some of the most talented guides
anywhere. ALL of our guides have at least 8 years of guiding experiencece and have guided on
many of the world's most difficult whitewater rivers (Many have guided over 15). Nobody offers this kind of top to bottom experience.
Our Guides are guides in the
truest sense of the word; not only are they talented river
runners, they also truly
enjoy sharing the outdoors and their outdoor experiences
with others. Whether you’re a complete first-timer or someone
who has boated around the world, you will be treated with respect
and kindness.
We pride ourselves on unparelleled personal service. From
when we first talk to you on the phone until we drop you off at
your hotel. We always go
the extra mile, with things like hot soup on cold
days and morning coffee or tea brought to your tent. Not only
will your river trip be the most fun trip you'll ever take, it
will also be the most comfortable.
We love food! For some of us, cooking is our second passion.
Our food is homemade, diverse, and served with a combination of
style and wilderness practicality. Whenever possible we
use local and organic produce and free-range meats. We can safely say we serve the best food in the area.
We have a strong commitment to the environment and its
incredible wild areas. This includes taking measures such as using local and organic food, composting on all our trips, offsetting our carbon emissions, and actively supporting
good environmental causes and groups. We are strong believers in the models set by companies such as Patagonia and believe business can inspire solutions to the environmental crisis.
Most importantly - We have fun! We love what we do, and it shows in the trips we run.
