Rogue River 3-Day Wilderness Lodge Trips

T

he availability of lodges is a unique aspect of the Rogue River. There are very few places in the world with a system of remote riverside lodges only accessible by boat or small plane. It allows for the amazing experience of true wilderness adventure capped off by comfortable and cozy evenings in a remote lodge steeped in pioneer history.

The deck at Paradise lodge on the Rogue River

We spend each day floating down river and spend the evenings in lodges strategically places along the Rogue River corridor. The lodges are unique and offer rustic but comfortable accommodations in quiet and beautiful wilderness settings. Accommodations may include cabins or rooms. In each room you’ll find beds made up with fresh linens, bathrooms stocked with plenty of towels and hot water for showers. Meals are served family style in a dining room or on the deck. Evenings are spent relaxing on the deck with a glass of wine or beer, fishing at the river’s edge, hiking to side creeks, playing games, or enjoying the peace and quiet of a deck chair and a good book. Generally electricity is only available until around 10:00 p.m. when the generators are shut down for the evening.

Lodge trips are ideal for anyone looking for one of the most unique experiences in the world, but they are also a perfect introduction to overnight rafting and are wonderful for those who are nervous about camping. They are a way to step back in time and get a taste of the west’s pioneer history on one of the west’s original wilderness rafting trips.

What Makes Momentum Rogue Lodge Trips Unique?

  • Our trips our Rogue trips are small (4 to12 guests) and led by guides with a minimum of eight years of experience leading trips around the world. Guides who truly enjoy sharing the outdoors and their outdoor experiences with others. Read more about Momentum and what our guests say>>

  • We chose our lodges carefully based on the uniqueness of the lodge and the opportunities they offer. At our first nights lodge we serve our own “Momentum” meals. We are very well known for our food and the guides will prepare a three coarse meal featuring local and organic produce and products. Read more about our food and what our guests say about it>>

  • The second nights lodge was chosen because it has an amazing deck and by far the best riverside view.  It is not uncommon to see black bear from the deck!  The guides will prepare a local appetizer with wine before dinner is served by the lodge.
