The
Wild and Scenic Klamath River
offers something for everyone. In addition to our
two
to four day trips we also offer a scenic half
day wildlife viewing float. This trip is perfect for families
with small children or people of any age looking for a relaxing
and scenic escape, just sit back and leave everything to us. We
will pick you up at your hotel for the short drive to the river,
where we will start with a wonderful continental breakfast of
organic fruits, bagels, and delicious pastries. Once we have had
our fill it’s time to step into our state of the art rafts
for a relaxing journey down the river. You will have the choice
of helping to paddle the boat or just sitting back and searching
out the variety of wildlife found in the area. The Klamath River
lies in the Pacific Flyway making this a great opportunity for
birding enthusiasts. With blue herons watching us from shore and
osprey diving for fish, young mergansers chasing their mother
and golden eagles soaring above, there is always plenty of bird
life to spot. We also share the river with western pond turtles
basking on the rocks and otters playfully darting through the
water. It is common to see deer and occasionally we even see a
little black bear quenching its thirst. The kids are always thrilled
by the handful of small splashy waves and many people enjoy a
refreshing dip as the day heats up. It all adds up to a relaxing
and rejuvenating morning that will leave you longing for more
time on the river.
