When to go: Costa Rica has a wet and dry season as apposed to a summer and winter (it is always hot at the coast and warm to cool in the mountains). The rainy season is from May to mid-November and the dry from mid-November to April. There is also a peak tourist season from mid December through February. The dry season generally has the best weather but also is busier and the rivers tend to be lower. The wet season generally sees afternoon and evening showers, there are less people, and the rivers are higher. We have chosen our recommended times around the shoulder seasons; less people, good weather, and some dates with higher water and lower water.

We run custom Costa Rica trips with groups of 5 or more. Call if you have any questions. If you have a smaller group we may be able to add you on to another.
Our recommended times include:
Late November - early December - Generally higher water - end of the rainy season.
Late March - Early April - generally lower water but more sun - end of the dry season.
Early June - Beginning of the rainy season - a great time with very few other travelers.
Trip Price:
$2900 – Includes all gear, accommodations, in country transportation including one flight, activities, and meals starting with dinner on day 1 and ending with dinner on day 9 (except one dinner on night 7).
The price does not include international airfare to San Jose and alcohol. For those who prefer single accommodations there is a single supplement fee ($375).
