Chile is rarely wider then 100 miles, but it stretches from
the tropics nearly to Antarctica.
It contains one of the driest places on earth, some of the wettest
places on earth, the wilds of Patagonia, and the 20,000' peaks
of the Andes. The whitewater rafting in Chile is as spectacular
as the scenery and includes the Futaleufu river; one of the
greatest whitewater rivers in the world.
